Working Hasegawa Co., Ltd., based in Kaho District, Fukuoka Prefecture, specializes in the planning and sales of professional uniforms. President Shinichi Hasegawa began exploring ways to incorporate environmental considerations into the company’s operations in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. As part of his efforts, he actively participated in overseas study tours focused on circular economy initiatives in Europe.

Upon returning to Japan, he developed a new business plan, which has now culminated in the launch of an environmentally conscious brand called “”SUKUI””, offering medical scrubs designed for healthcare settings. By introducing traceability using blockchain technology in the form of Digital Product Passports (DPP), the company aims to realize a circular economy within the workwear industry.
